In large measure, The Sandman Season 2 Episode 10 is the moral center of the season. It peels away the frill and show, leaving Dream alone in the Garden of Forking Ways, the only location that literally and symbolically holds all the decisions ever taken and those yet to be made.

I was half torn between hoping Dream would still find a way to make it out alive and knowing deep down that passing on and leaving the Dreaming would be the only logical way out for his character.
