Sean Longstaff looks set to become Leeds United’s fifth signing of the summer after a deal in principle with Newcastle United was agreed on Tuesday night.
Leeds United, fresh off promotion, are moving like a club with a plan. According to The Athletic, the Elland Road side have agreed a deal in principle to sign Sean Longstaff from Newcastle United. The fee is reportedly £10 million plus £2 million in add-ons, after what was the third bid for the midfielder.
Leeds United have been busy strengthening their ranks this summer as they look to hit the ground running in their first season back in the Premier League. The Whites have confirmed the signings of Jaka Bijol, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Sebastiaan Bornauw and Lukas Nmecha so far.
So far, they have signed Lukas Nmecha from Wolfsburg on a free transfer, as well as centre-back Sebastiaan Bornauw from the same club. Jaka Bijol has arrived from Udinese while Gabriel Gudmundsson became the fourth addition to the squad last week.
