At least some of the correction officers involved in the deadly beating of an inmate at the Marcy Correctional Facility are expected to face criminal charges later today.

Marcy Correctional Facility in upstate New York has been a bastion of police brutality for years according to reports and the recent death of inmate Robert Brooks has brought even more attention to the civil rights violations running rampant at the prison.

Six New York prison guards have been indicted for second-degree murder in the beating death of an inmate who was handcuffed, while four corrections workers are charged with lesser crimes.
