Texas football coach Steve Sarkisian was asked about reporting connecting him to NFL jobs in the most recent cycle.

Steve Sarkisian cleared up a number of lingering mysteries that developed during this offseason. Among them, the Texas head football coach, who will enter his fifth season at the helm next August, revealed that he didn’t seriously consider taking an NFL head coach job or earnestly look into one.

With 27 new players and three new assistants, Sarkisian wants to focus on teaching and development to maintain the culture he’s built on the Forty Acres.
