ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez was arrested Thursday morning. Channel 9 has learned that Lopez’s arrest comes after an extended investigation by federal and state law enforcement.

A judge granted suspended Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez a $1 million bond following his arrest related to an illegal gambling operation. Lopez will also have to wear a GPS monitor, surrender his firearms and passport. His next court date is June 30.
Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez was suspended by Governor Ron DeSantis due to federal racketeering charges, with Christopher A. Blackmon appointed interim sheriff.
