Santa Ono, the president of the University of Michigan, was unanimously approved by Florida’s board despite criticism from conservatives of his past views on diversity programs.

Dr. Santa J. Ono was selected to be the next president of the University of Florida as a group of Republicans has expressed disdain in regard to his candidacy.

The University of Florida’s board of trustees has approved Santa Ono to be the next leader of Florida’s flagship university, though one more vote is required before it becomes official.
