The forecast from KXAS-TV (NBC5) is showing a 20% chance of rain in Dallas at noon, with rain chances slowly increasing over the rest of the afternoon. There is a 40% chance of rain at 3 p.m., which will increase to 80% by 5 p.m.
Severe storms are expected to erupt across a wide swath of Texas late Monday — from the Dallas-Fort Worth area to East Texas.
A cold front is moving through North Texas Tuesday morning, bringing temperatures closer to normal for this time of year, less humidity, and a northwest wind. We will have plenty of sunshine Tuesday and Wednesday before rain chances return on Thursday. Seasonably cool tonight heading into Wednesday morning as lows dip into the upper 50s to low 60s.
