In a boost to defence and aerospace manufacturing in India, the country is set to become the first nation other than France where the fuselage of the Rafale fighter aircraft will be manufactured. Under a partnership between France’s Dassault Aviation and Tata Advanced Systems (TASL),

Dassault Aviation signed four production transfer agreements with India’s TASL for construction of Rafale fighter aircraft fuselages in India.

The first fuselage sections are expected to roll off the assembly line in 2027-28, with the facility expected to deliver up to two complete fuselages per month.
