Take cover, a tornado watch was issued by the National Weather Service in Mount Holly on Friday, May 30, from 5:04 p.m. until midnight. This watch applies to parts of Delaware and South Jersey, as wells as Bucks and Montgomery counties and Philadelphia.
On Friday at 11:53 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a tornado watch in effect until Saturday at midnight for Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties.
The bulk of the rain is likely to fall Friday night, said John Feerick, senior meteorologist with AccuWeather Inc. However, before the flood watch takes effect, severe thunderstorms could pop up in the region Friday afternoon, said Patrick O’Hara, meteorologist at the Mount Holly office.
