Less than three days after Thomas Frank was confirmed at the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur, Spurs have officially announced his first summer signing.

Spurs have completed the permanent signing of Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich, with Thomas Frank now turning his attention to a pacy striker who had 25 goal involvements during the 2024/25 campaign

Tel was originally signed on loan in January, with a view to a permanent deal under former boss Ange Postecoglou. Frank is said to have given the deal his approval, with Spurs making the move permanent, as Postecoglou had intended. Tel made 20 appearances in all competitions for Spurs in 2024-25, scoring three goals and registering one assist.
