On Wednesday, team owners voted against a ban of the " tush push ," the controversial quarterback sneak made famous by the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. The proposal, presented by the Green Bay Packers, fell two votes short of the 24-team threshold at the spring league meetings in Minnesota.
The vote didn't work. The league's rule change to ban the Tush Push only received 22 affirmative votes. 24 were needed to pass a resolution like that. It means that the Eagles, and the Tush Push are here to stay. And it's a reminder of what Commanders head coach Dan Quinn told the Rich Eisen show just a few weeks ago.

The Lions voted to keep the "tush push" in football. Dan Campbell explained this spring why: “If you’ve got something, we’ve gotta stop it. So, like, to me, leave it in," he said at the owners meetings in April.
