An ABC 10News crew was at the scene reporting on another story when they saw what appeared to be a military aircraft crash into the water.

The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department was initially called to the scene of the fighter jet crash, but federal emergency responders from the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard assisted the pilots, who were taken to an area hospital to be evaluated, KGTV reported.
