Four people were killed and at least 20 others were injured when “hundreds of shots” erupted in the wake of a Mississippi homecoming football game, officials said.

Four people were killed in a shooting in a small town in the Mississippi Delta region after a high school football homecoming game there, a state senator said Saturday.

In a statement on Facebook after the incident, Maylor Lee wrote, "I’m deeply saddened about the tragedy that happened in the City of Leland."
