The FBI says four people have been arrested, three of them on murder charges, in a weekend shooting that left six people dead and more than a dozen injured in a small Mississippi town.

The announcement comes after an outbreak of shootings across the state last weekend, one mass shooting in Lelena, Mississippi, claiming the lives of six people.

Twenty people were shot, four of whom died, in a shooting in the western Mississippi city of Leland during a celebration for a homecoming football game, in one of three shootings in small towns in the state late Friday.

Officials in Leland, Mississippi, are calling on the public's help after six people were killed and 10 others wounded in a mass shooting.

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - A shooting has occurred at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium on West Street. Interim Police Chief Tyree Jones said in a statement on Facebook that the shooting occurred near the tailgate section.
