It appears Miami was not the only school interested in ex-Georgia football transfer Carson Beck when the quarterback entered his name into the transfer portal.

USA Today Network's Matt Hayes reported on Wednesday that Georgia wanted the former quarterback to return to the Bulldogs after he entered the transfer portal and that Alabama was next in line in line for the call.

Initially, Beck declared for the 2025 NFL Draft, but he changed his mind and entered the transfer portal instead. While he ended up with Miami, it has been reported that Georgia was the first team to call him and try to sign him for the 2025 season, with the Alabama Crimson Tide also reaching out to him before the Hurricanes did.

Carson Beck could become even richer over the long haul through his decision to transfer from Georgia football to Miami this offseason.
