Detroit Red Wings legend Alex Delvecchio died on Tuesday, July 1, at 93 years old. The Hall-of-Famer played all 24 of his NHL seasons (1950-74) with the Red Wings, playing in 1,550 games, winning three Stanley Cups and three Lady Byng Memorial Trophies during his career.

Three Stanley Cups, three Lady Byngs, and a spot in the Hockey Hall of Fame: Fort William's Alex Delvecchio is being remembered for his on-ice skill, and off-ice kindness.

Delvecchio was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1977 and was later named one of the 100 greatest players in league history.
