Philadelphia Eagles’ Saquon Barkley and his family are in the spotlight after the running back shared handshakes with his children ahead of the NFC championship game.

But it turns out Barkley had better offers before agreeing to his three-year, $37.75 million contract with the Eagles. According to Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post, Barkley turned down “at least two” bigger offers before signing with Philadelphia.

Barkley’s contract includes an $11,625,000 signing bonus, $26,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $12,583,333. In 2025, Barkley will earn a base salary of $1,170,000 and a signing bonus of $9,830,000, while carrying a cap hit of $6,561,000 and a dead cap value of $20,700,000.
