The 2025 season has been a rough one for the Sky, as they rank in the bottom three in the WNBA in offensive rating, defensive rating, and net rating. Not only that, but the Sky just lost veteran point guard Courtney Vandersloot – a former Liberty player – to a torn ACL.

The Liberty are one of the WNBA’s two remaining unbeatens. The defending champs are significantly better, but center Jonquel Jones is expected to miss this game. The reigning Finals MVP rolled her ankle in their most recent game and did not return, although the team announced she avoided significant injury.

The Chicago Sky hosted the Indiana Fever in the first WNBA game at the United Center. It was a big moment even if the result wasn't what they wanted.
