The New York Mets are re-signing Pete Alonso to a two-year contract that calls for him to make $30 million in 2025 and includes an opt-out after the first year.

Pete Alonso’s free-agent saga is over, and he ended up right where he started. The first baseman agreed to a two-year, $54 million contract with the Mets, The Post’s Jon Heyman reported.

Three other Scott Boras clients recently opted out of short-term deals after one year, then struck belated free-agent riches.
