Tottenham Hotspur has handed a first-team debut to Brandon Austin, a 25-year-old goalkeeper, against Newcastle United in the Premier League 2024-25

Brandon Austin has reflected on his Tottenham debut as he played against Newcastle United in the Premier League.

There was a relatively unrecognisable name in the Tottenham starting XI to face Newcastle in goalkeeper Brandon Austin. Due to the injury suffered by Guglielmo Vicario, Fraser Forster has been deputising in between the sticks but he was unable to make the squad due to illness.

Newcastle equalised controversially two minutes later when Anthony Gordon fired home after Lucas Bergvall ’s pass struck Joelinton’s hand.
