(WJW) – The polls officially closed and results are rolling in for the Ohio 2025 General Election on Tuesday night. Voters decided on several school levies, local issues and key races, notably for mayor of Cleveland and mayor of Cleveland Heights.

Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose added his support last week to a proposal requiring Ohioans submit proof of citizenship when they register to vote. But even LaRose acknowledged implementing the idea could be harder than it seems.

Voters who received an absentee ballot have until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday to bring it in person to their county’s board of elections office.
