NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Tennessee Titans have hired John Fassel as the team’s special teams coordinator. Fassel joins the Titans with 20 seasons of prior NFL experience, including the past five years as special teams coordinator with the Dallas Cowboys.
Along with Anderson, the Titans are parting ways with passing game coordinator/cornerbacks coach Chris Harris, tight ends coach Justin Outten, special teams assistant Anthony Levine, and defensive assistant Clint McMillan.
Aukerman, 48, began his coaching career in 2000 and entered the NFL ranks as a defensive assistant with the Denver Broncos in 2010. He eventually transitioned to special teams while an assistant with the Jacksonville Jaguars and became the special teams coordinator for the San Diego Chargers in 2016.
