The Silver State’s 775 area code logged in a whopping 6.9 million robocalls just this May, enough to place it No. 3 in the nation for scam calls, the analysis found.

Starting on Sunday, Nevada residents with a 775 area code must use their ten-digit phone number to make local calls according to the Federal Communications Commission.

Calls she attempted from both the Bay Area and Seattle required the 702 area code to reach Stateline. With 775 she received a recorded message saying the number was not valid.
