Bakersfield has been ranked as the eighth highest city in the nation for DUI rates, according to a report by Lending Tree.

It's the third year in a row — and fourth time in six years — that the department ranked No. 1 for most DUI arrests in the state.

State Police said the trooper was stopped on Route 460 with his vehicle's blue lights flashing when it was hit by a westbound SUV.

The LendingTree report used insurance data to identify which cars were involved in the most accidents, DUI incidents, speeding incidents, and citations.
