Oasis began its comeback tour on Friday night in Cardiff in front of a sold-out crowd at Principality Stadium. During the show, the band paid its respects to late Liverpool forward Diogo Jota.

Oasis paid tribute to Liverpool footballer Diogo Jota, who this week died in a car accident, at their first reunion show. The Manchester band, led by Liam and Noel Gallagher, kicked off their tour at Cardiff ’s Principality Stadium on Friday (4 July), one day after Jota was found dead with his brother, Andre Silver, in the Spanish city of Zamora.

Liverpool cancelled preseason tests for a small number of first-team players on Friday following the deaths of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva, with Mohamed Salah revealing his fears at returning to the club because “Diogo won’t be there” in a heartfelt tribute.
