Russian air defence systems shot down three drones en route to Moscow on Saturday, city mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on his Telegram account.

Russian air defense units intercepted 13 drones flying towards Moscow in under two hours, Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported at around 1:46 a.m. local time on July 19.

Russian air defense systems successfully intercepted three drones heading to Moscow, leading to temporary suspension of operations at two Moscow airports. Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced the event, while Russian aviation authorities confirmed the airports resumed normal functioning after the threat had passed.
