Joshua Riibe, 22 — the last person to see Konanki, 20, alive before officials say she drowned in the Dominican Republic — is recovering from the tragedy in his family’s home in Rock Rapids.

Riibe was previously considered a person of interest by the sheriff's office in Loudoun County, Va., where Konanki, 20, lived. He was believed to be the last person to see her alive on March 6.
