The fire at Milwaukee's Highland Court apartments got so out of control because firefighters said there was no sprinkler system in the building.

An "intentional act" cannot be ruled out as the cause of a fatal fire that occurred Sunday morning near 27th and Highland, according to Milwaukee Fire Chief Aaron Lipski.

Four other people were critically injured, and 30 others were rescued after the fire broke out on Sunday morning, the authorities said.

MFD Chief Aaron Lipski said they still can't rule anything out when it comes to the cause of the fire at Highland Court Apartments.

Four people died Sunday from the fire, while the fifth death was among four others who were critically injured.
