A confirmed tornado was reported Tuesday night in the Huntsville metro area as severe weather threatened much of Alabama, the National Weather Service reported. Severe damage was reported at Cliff Farms off Balch Road in Madison County but additional information was not immediately available.

Residents are picking up the pieces as wild weather continues to move across the country, including tornadoes and severe storms hitting the South and Midwest on Tuesday. An army of volunteers from across the country is arriving to offer strength to communities hit hard by the extreme weather.

Storm surveys are underway following days of severe weather across North Texas. As of Monday, at least seven tornadoes have been confirmed in counties west of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex on Sunday,
