MONROE COUNTY, Michigan — A crash in Monroe County that brought down powerlines Friday morning has closed the roadway, according to authorities.

Souter was appointed by Republican President George H.W. Bush in 1990 and was a reliably liberal vote on a number of major issues that came before the Supreme Court.
