LOS ANGELES (AP) — Rob Reiner’s son Nick Reiner was charged Tuesday with two counts of first-degree murder in the killing of his parents, which stunned their communities in Hollywood and Democratic politics, where both were widely beloved.

New details are being revealed about Nick Reiner’s behavior at a star-studded Christmas party held before his parents’ death. According to NBC News, Nick, 32, joined dad Rob Reiner and mom Michele Singer Reiner at a holiday gathering hosted by Conan O’Brien on Saturday3.

According to estate and trusts attorney Sean Weissbart, a partner at Blank Rome LLP who is not connected to the case, Nick will become ineligible to inherit from his parents' estate if he is ultimately convicted of the crime, per a particular state law.
