USC Trojans coach Lincoln Riley announced at Big Ten media day on Thursday that Jayden Maiava would be the starting quarterback for the 2025 season. Maiava started the final four games for USC last year and had a record of 3-1.

Lincoln Riley is entering a pivotal fourth season as the head coach of the USC Trojans football program. He got off to a good start in 2022 by winning 11 games, but is a combined 15-11 over the last two seasons. Riley’s overall record in Southern California is 26-14.
