Following the winter storm, temperatures in East Tennessee will remain freezing. A strong cold front will usher in arctic-like air into the region with wind chills dropping to 3 to 8 degrees above zero across much of the region, according to the National Weather Service's Jan. 24 report.

A bout of extremely cold weather is moving into the region to start the week, raising concerns about safety on wet, icy roads on Monday.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - People in East Tennessee have been left without power after Sunday night’s winter storm. Crews are out and about trying to restore connection for customers. More than 1,500 people are without power, according to the Knoxville Utility Board.

Divers from the Knox County Rescue Squad pulled a man from a sinking vehicle in the Tennessee River near Riverside Drive after receiving a call Sunday afternoon.
