A weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Friday at 7:39 p.m. for strong thunderstorms until 8:15 p.m. for Bibb and Chilton counties.

On Friday at 5:06 p.m. a severe thunderstorm warning was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 5:45 p.m. for Jefferson, St. Clair and Shelby counties.
