Oregon authorities have confirmed a second death following a fatal waterfall accident. The accident happened over the weekend at Dillon Falls on the Deschutes River, about 10 miles from Bend in central Oregon.

Three other people were rescued on Saturday when a group of people strayed into an unsafe section of the Deschutes River near Bend, Ore., the authorities said.

A multi-agency search and rescue operation is underway after a group of six individuals went over Dillon Falls on the Deschutes River west of Bend Saturday afternoon. The initial 911 call came into Deschutes County at approximately 2:57 PM.
