With Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler in trade talks, the one team that has been seen as a dark horse was the Memphis Grizzlies which some see as a good fit. While the Grizzlies were reportedly “lurking” in talks for Butler, the team seems to have cooled off due to continued persistence from the star's camp that he does not want to play for them.

The NBA trade deadline draws closer by the day, and as always, the transaction cycle remains headlined by the same small group of players. On Monday, the Miami Heat suspended Jimmy Butler indefinitely after he walked out of a shootaround upon receiving the news that he would be benched.

External noise should not distract professionals from their performance on the court. A visit to Madison Square Garden tested that theory in a 145-106 blowout loss to the New York Knicks. One blip will not get Jenkins bellowing too much though. The Grizzlies (31-16) are doing surprisingly well considering all of the injuries suffered.
