Chinese e-commerce firm JD.com Inc. offered to acquire Ceconomy AG in a deal that would value Europe’s largest consumer electronics retailer at about €2.2 billion ($2.5 billion).

Ceconomy operates two of Europe’s largest electronics retail chains with online shops and more than 1,000 brick-and-mortar stores across 11 markets.
