A Rockland man was sentenced Tuesday to six to eight years in federal prison for robbing Foxborough bank at gunpoint in 2022 and stealing more than $10,000, Norfolk County prosecutors said.

At 5:51 p.m., troopers responded after receiving a 991 call reporting the boats in the water, according to Trooper Brandon Doherty, a spokesperson for the Massachusetts State Police.

A lawyer for the 22-year-old student, identified only as Jane Doe, said Tuesday his client is set to graduate in six weeks and plans to pursue a PhD afterward.
