Blast Off Playground was built in 2000 thanks to the hard work of a group of dedicated volunteers including Mary Pat Torbeck, Donna Metallic, and Pam Ancel. They built the wooden structure over a five-day period, with the help of Leathers & Associates. Feedback of elementary students was also incorporated into the playground’s design.
