One of Alaska’s many volcanoes, Mt Spurr, is thinking about erupting. There is a long line of volcanoes starting at the north end of the Aleutian Range and continuing down through the Aleutian Islands. These volcanoes are part of the “Ring of Fire”, a series of 452 volcanoes that stretch from the southern tip of South America, up along the coast of North America, across the Bering Strait, down through Japan and into New Zealand.
