Season 6 of Hymnology continues with “O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing” (#136 in Hymns of Grace). Written by Charles Wesley in 1739 to celebrate the first anniversary of his conversion, this hymn is filled with gratitude and praise — a declaration that Christ has broken the power of sin and set the prisoner free.
