This Sunday we will remember and reflect on Ireland's hunger strikers at the National Hunger Strike Commemoration in Cork. Along with those who died in 1981 we will remember republicans from other times, in particular the 1920 Hunger Strikes which saw three Cork republicans – including the city's mayor Terence MacSwiney – die.
