Happy Arizona Statehood Day! 🎉🌵 Did you know Avondale is home to an important piece of Arizona history? 🏞️ Monument Hill, marked by a concrete “X” on Avondale Boulevard just east of Phoenix Raceway, has served as a key land surveying point since the 1800s. It played a role following the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo and has helped shape property boundaries across Arizona for generations. Today, we celebrate Arizona’s rich history and the unique landmarks that connect our community to the past.
