So…the first GoGo record I heard was on BBC Radio One in 1979 via @paulgambaccini and his US chart show on Saturday Afternoon. Chuck Brown “Bustin Loose” is still arguably the best in the genre and even if DC GoGo didn’t exist would still be a phenomenal funk record. Sounds super crisp sonically too.
