HIGHLANDERS DAY - 17th September. On this day in 1994 The Queens Own Highlanders (Seaforth and Camerons) and The Gordon Highlanders, officially amalgamated at Dreghorn Barracks in Edinburgh. The new Regiment they were to form was named ‘The Highlanders’ (Seaforth, Gordons and Camerons).
